Busy day of preparing

Fundraising isn't fun. Well, it can be. Doing events can be fun. They build team work and make memories. Even car washes on a grey and rainy day!

But I haven't been doing that today. Today was one of those days preparing things. Those days are not as fun. Jason has been making lots and lots of goat's milk soap to sell. I have been setting up an online store as a selling venue (details to come!). Plus folding fundraiser letters, digging out addresses.

Choosing who to mail them to is a little stressful to me. On the one hand, I don't want to be presumptuous about who will or won't, who can or cannot donate. It's not up to me to decide if our cause is worthy to you. Or if you can or cannot afford it. I learned a few years ago not to turn down anyone, even if I think they should spend their money on themselves: if they are blessed to give, then my refusal of their gift is to take away their blessings.

On the other  hand, one request in the letters is prayer, and we'll ask everyone for that! So, I pray on it and write out the envelopes. Every penny helps. Whether it's a $1 donation or a $500 donation... really, it all builds up the money pot. And the prayer is big. if you pray, please include us, the team, the preparations and the children in the Manuelito Project!
